OPEN POSITIONS AT BARNYARD UTILITY BUILDINGS:
INSTALLERS AND SUB-CONTRACTORS – CHARLOTTE, NC WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Barnyard Utility Buildings is looking for installers (sub-contractors) with construction experience to assemble sheds in the Charlotte region. One, two or three-man crews are needed. Most of the sheds can be built in one day. This is a great opportunity to apply your experience to a versatile field. If you can dream it, you can build it. And if you can build it, we can pay you!
DAILY SCHEDULE AND TRAINING
The sheds are paid per job on a weekly basis. When you finish the assembly of the shed, you are finished for the day. On-the-job training will be provided to all new installers for the first week. Part of what makes this enticing is that a good team is rewarded for their efficiency. You can get paid a full day’s wages even if you managed to knock things out with a few hours to spare! And with our comprehensive training, you’ll become a highly efficient builder in no time flat.
THE INSTALLATION PROCESS
The Installation of a shed consists of picking up a pre-cut material package in Clover, S.C. with your truck and trailer. The installer will deliver the materials to the customer’s job site and complete the construction of the shed. We are big believers in teamwork. In order to be successful, you must be a successful team player. That’s why prior experience working in a team-based environment is very important to us during the hiring process.
JOB LOCATION
Most of the work is performed in and around the Charlotte area. This means very little travel is required on your part, allowing you to enjoy kicking back at home if you complete your daily project earlier than scheduled!
WHAT TOOLS WILL I NEED?
The following items are required to build sheds for Barnyard Utility Buildings:
- Drivers license
- Truck
- Trailer at least 12′ long
- Air compressor
- Pneumatic tools (air nailers)
- Hand tools
- Workers compensation insurance
- General liability insurance
- Auto insurance

Barnyard Utility Buildings sells Wood Storage Sheds and Mini Barns thru multiple locations around the Charlotte, N. C. area and specialize in being able to “ Build Onsite “.
We are known in the Charlotte area for being a “Go-To” builder that will build a customer’s Shed or Mini Barn on their lot or land which is a huge plus for our customers. This is why we are currently seeking several additional Sales Associates to assist our customers thru that process.
Daily Schedule and Training
Our average training time can take 2-4 days of On-the-Job training and can be done at your local store or at our home office located in Clover, South Carolina. Our typical store hours are 10 am-6 pm weekdays and 9am-5pm Saturdays in the Spring and Summer. They change to10 am - 5pm on week days and 9 -5 on Saturdays from Fall thru Winter. Each location has regular duties that include answering calls and emails, selling buildings, complete changes to current orders, taking payments, addressing customer concerns before and after a sale.
Skills that will benefit you the most are:
- Strong Communication Skills with an ability to handle customer questions effectively and to a customer’s satisfaction.
- A good personality who can develop strong connections and trust using great product knowledge and interpersonal skills.
- A solid Goal Oriented ability to find ways to meet or exceed your Sales Goals thru good upselling abilities and customer follow up calls.
